The 320A Brushed ESC is a high-current electronic speed controller designed for use with brushed DC motors in RC cars, boats, and other hobby-grade robotic systems. With its ability to handle up to 320A peak current, it delivers smooth and responsive throttle control. This ESC supports both forward and reverse operation, making it perfect for various motion control applications in 1/10 and 1/8 scale RC models.
How It Works:
An ESC takes signals from a radio receiver or microcontroller (such as an Arduino or RC remote) and regulates the power delivered from the battery to the motor. The 320A ESC uses pulse-width modulation (PWM) to control motor speed and direction. It includes a built-in BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit) that powers the receiver and other onboard electronics, eliminating the need for a separate power source.
Specifications:
Maximum Continuous Current: 40A
Peak Current: 320A
Input Voltage: 6V – 12V (2S – 3S LiPo or 5–10 cell NiMH)
Motor Type: Brushed DC Motor
Modes: Forward, Reverse, Brake
BEC Output: 5.6V / 2A
Dimensions: ~45mm x 35mm x 30mm
Weight: Approx. 60g
Connectors: Tamiya-style or XT60 (varies by model)
Limitations:
Designed only for brushed motors – not compatible with brushless systems.
Must be adequately cooled; prolonged heavy usage may require external heatsinking or a fan.
Not waterproof by default – should be protected from moisture in wet environments.
Current ratings are theoretical peak values – real-world use should stay below maximum continuous current for safety.
